Fujairah Port is a strategically positioned maritime gateway on the eastern seaboard of the United Arab Emirates. Located outside the Strait of Hormuz, the port provides an important connection between international shipping routes, the Gulf region, the Indian subcontinent and markets across East Africa.

The port has developed a strong position in liquid bulk and oil logistics. Fujairah serves crude oil, gasoline, diesel, bunker fuel and lubricant-oil movements and is supported by a network of independent liquid bulk storage terminals, oil processing facilities and specialised tanker infrastructure.

Fujairah Oil Tanker Terminals (FOTT) provides dedicated infrastructure for liquid bulk cargo and connects the port’s oil berths with storage terminals and other facilities in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone. Its pipeline and manifold systems provide flexible connections between berths and storage terminals and can also facilitate direct product transfers between terminals.

For INTERAXCO B.V., Fujairah Port represents an important Middle Eastern logistics location where tank storage, shipping, vessel chartering, pipeline connectivity and cargo transportation can be considered as connected elements of an international storage and shipping network.

Why Fujairah Port?

Fujairah’s location outside the Strait of Hormuz provides a strategic maritime position for vessels trading between the Gulf, Asia, the Indian subcontinent and East Africa. This location has helped the port develop into an important international shipping and maritime services hub.

Liquid bulk is one of Fujairah’s key strengths. The port and surrounding Fujairah Oil Industry Zone provide extensive infrastructure for crude oil, refined petroleum products, bunker fuels and other liquid bulk activities, supported by specialised storage terminals and tanker facilities.

FOTT’s Matrix Manifold systems provide extensive connectivity between storage terminals and oil berths. The system also allows certain products to be transferred directly between storage terminals without requiring a vessel, creating additional flexibility for oil traders and terminal users.

Fujairah also provides a wider range of maritime and cargo services, including dry bulk, general cargo, container, Ro-Ro, cruise and vessel-support operations. This combination of specialised oil infrastructure and broader maritime services makes Fujairah an important location within international shipping and storage networks.
